  • define taxonomy, systematics and phylogenesis of living and extinct organisms, categorize selected plant and animal species according to taxonomic categories
  • using microscopy to recognize and differentiate plant (meristematic and permanent) and animal tissues (epithelial, connective, muscle and nervous)
  • describe structure and function of root, stem, leaf and flower
  • explain interconnected action of digestive, circulatory, respiratory, urinary, reproductive, nervous, endocrine and immune system in a human enabling the organism to function as a whole
  • discuss ecological problems caused by excessive human activity on a population, biocenosis, ecosystem and biosphere level
