  • to describe and explain the structure and mechanism of rhytmic cardiac excitation and contraction
  • to explain the process of urine formation in kidneys and control over osmolarity and volume of body fluids
  • to describe the process of gas exchange in lungs and other tissues
  • to define cerebral cortical functions
  • to describe secretory and absorptive functions of digestive system
  • to explain the role of endocrine glands in maintaining the homeostasis
  • to analyze neural and hormonal stimulation of heart using computer simulations, to compare glomerular filtration and tubular reabsorption, to interpret respiratory volums and capacities, to interpret a normal electrocardiogram and electroencephalogram, to demonstate the effect of digestive enzymes and hormones on metabolism
