Biography

Ivana Radojčić Redovniković is a Full Professor at the Faculty of Food Technology and Biotechnology at University of Zagreb. She received her diploma in Biotechnology (2001) and her doctoral degree in Biotechnology and Bioprocess engineering (2007) at the same Faculty. For the last few years, her research team in collaboration with several institutions studied some aspects regarding preparation, characterization and implementation of green solvents in food technology, biotechnology and chemical technology. Currently, she is principal investigator of projects concerning natural deep eutectic  solvents (NADES ) preparation and characterization (determination of their physicochemical properties and toxicological profile) and their application in extraction of biologically compounds from food industry waste and in biocatalysis with enzymes and microbes. Since now,  she published more than 20 scientific paper on NADES, whereby five of them are highly cited papers in the top 1% of the academic field.
