COURSE CONTENT

  • fundamental terminology related to development and validation of analytical methods
  • criteria for analytical method selection
  • planning of analytical process using chromatographic, spectrometric and electrochemical methods
  • methods for acquired data (analytical signals) analysis
  • common problems in chemical analysis using  chromatographic, spectrometric and electrochemical methods, indentification and troubleshooting

LEARNING OUTCOMES

  • apply acquired knowledge for planning and optimizing analytical process
  • evaluate applicability of instrumental techniques for chemical analysis in relation to physical-chemical properties of analyte and matrix
  • name, describe and explain the role of analytical method performance parameters of analytical method
  • experimentally determine method performance parameters
  • recognize and solve basic problems during chemical analysis (of technical and analytical nature)
  • consider and select appropriate method for data analysis
  • interpret results of analysis
