Course Description

COURSE CONTENT

Introducing the role, importance and scientific work significance, as well as categories and methods of scientific research. Primary, secondary and tertiary publications. Possibilities of scientific literature searching, strategies for bibliographic, original, citation and patent databases searching. Types and structure of scientific, professional and academic papers. Citing and referencing styles. Doctoral dissertation: from choosing the topic to the thesis defense. Effective preparation of scientific work manuscripts and scientific research proposal development. Scientific areas and criteria for the scientific  titles,  scientific-educational  and  artistic-educational titles,  educational,  associate  and  professional titles. Evaluation in science - bibliometric quality indicators of scientific journals and papers, citation analysis and other metrics.
