LEARNING OUTCOMES
- define taxonomy, systematics and phylogenesis of living and extinct organisms, categorize selected plant and animal species according to taxonomic categories
- using microscopy to recognize and differentiate plant (meristematic and permanent) and animal tissues (epithelial, connective, muscle and nervous)
- describe structure and function of root, stem, leaf and flower
- explain interconnected action of digestive, circulatory, respiratory, urinary, reproductive, nervous, endocrine and immune system in a human enabling the organism to function as a whole
- discuss ecological problems caused by excessive human activity on a population, biocenosis, ecosystem and biosphere level
