The Laboratory for Oil and Fat Technology was founded in 1957, and by 1962 it did not have its own premises so lectures and exercises in the subject Oil and Fat Technology were held in a very well-equipped laboratory of the Oil Plant in Zagreb. The first head of the Laboratory was Prof. Marijan Rac, PhD, who was succeeded by Prof. Dubravka Štrucelj, PhD. In the period from 2005 to 2008, the head was Prof. Desanka Rade, PhD, and since 2008 Prof. Dubravka Škevin, PhD.
