Laboratory for Measurement, Control (regulation) and Automatisation (Laboratory for MRA) was founded in 1957 and operates within the Department of Process Engineering of the Faculty of Food Technology and Biotechnology, University of Zagreb.
Laboratory employees participate in classes that include (i) measurements, regulation and automation & (ii) applied modeling and optimization; in areas such as food sciences, biotechnology, food engineering and circular bioeconomy. The department carries out research activities in numerous scientific and technological projects. Laboratory employees are active members of national and international projects (COST, TEMPUS, ERASMUS, EU Structural Funds and Bilateral Projects) with the aim of connecting with scientific teams in the European research area, but also with the aim of transferring knowledge to the real sector. In lectures and exercises, we also introduce the principles of the circular (circular) economy through changes in resource management in an efficient and smart way and the application of sustainable measuring devices and digital tools (such as in optimization).
