Description:
Course description
The aim of the course: An introduction to the mechanisms of functions of human organs and systems that work together to maintain human body homeostasis.
Course topics: Neuron excitation and skeletal muscle contraction. Rhythmical excitation and contraction of the hearth. Systemic and pulmonary circulatory system. Pulmonary ventilation. Renal system function. Central and peripheral nervous system. Brain functions. Sense organs. Gastrointestinal secretion, digestion and absorption. Endocrine and reproductive systems.
In addition to lectures, on laboratory exercises students will elaborate selected course topics.
