Description:
Metal and non-metallic materials in the process industry. The theory of corrosion and corrosion protection. Electrochemical corrosion of metals. Corrosion of non-metals. Biological corrosion. Kinetics of corrosion processes. Corrosion inhibitors. Corrosion testing. Corrosion behavior of metals.
Learning outcomes:
  1. Describe the basic physical and chemical properties of construction materials
  2. Identify and solve problems arising from the process of material degradation in the industry
  3. Choose an adequate ecological protection system from corrosion
