Description:
Pumps

Working principles, applications and classification. Pump elements, calculation of relevant parameters for each pump (work, power, head, etc.). Practical experiments with centrifugal and other pumps.

Fans

Working principle, classification, work elements, applications. Calculation of necessary parameters for fan control and selection.

Coagulation, flocculation, sedimentation, hydrocyclons

theoretical knowledge of sedimentation, coagulation and flocculation. Calculation of important parameters. Selection of parameters for various applications. Classification of equipment. Material balance.

Filtration

Definition of filtration basic filtration procedures. Definition of chemical and biological processes on the filters. Classification of equipment, working principle, other parameters. Theoretical and practical knowledge of filtartion. Ultrasonic filtration

Centrifuging

Definition of operation, forces and processes during centrifuging. Application and centrifuge selection. Working principle.

Sieving

Definition of sieving operation, and all relevant parameters. Particle size analysis. Working principle, classification and description of sieving equipment. Laser particle size analysis

Milling

Types of milling, classification of equipment, milling parameters.

Cleaning of gases

Application, working principle, equipment. Definition of equipment parameters Working principle of cyclones and electric air cleaning

Mixing

Definition of operation and parameters. Application in food and other industries. Definition of mixer parameters.Mixing of different phases.

Kneading

Application and definition of kneading and its process parameters. Kneading elements.

Drying

Drying process, basic parameters, working principle. Types of dryers and elements. Ultrasonic drying.

High hydrostatic pressure

Description and hand-on with new technology for tratment of foodstuff. Working principle, application and influence on food material.

Ultrasound

Basic principle of high and low intensity ultrasound. Application in food and other industries. Basic acoustics
