- Diabetes: prevention, diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic complications
- High sugar consumption linked to type 2 diabetes (Fructose metabolism and relation to type 2 diabetes and associated diseases)
- Obesity (diabetes and obesity, medical nutrition therapy, guidance and nutrition counseling)
- Glycemic index in chronic diseases
- Hyperlipidemia-disease of the modern age
- Insulin treatment for type 2 diabetes
LEARNING OUTCOMES
- describe the implementation of medical nutrition therapy in diabetes and associated diseases
- calculate the nutritional needs of patients, the number of meals depending on the type of therapy
- assess the nutritional status and dietary habits of patients with diabetes
