LEARNING OUTCOMES
- categorise groups of therapeutic proteins
- describe mechanism of action of discussed therapeutic proteins
- describe technology and process used for production of therapeutic proteins, extraction, purification and subsequent characterisation
- compare existing legislation regarding production, testing and release of biopharmaceuticals in the USA, EU and Croatia
- define foundations of Good Manufacturing Practice and rules implemented in Croatia
- describe validation of the manufacturing process and quality control mechanisms
- analyse protein structures and use them for computer-aided drug design
